How to burn your Surcee:
1. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when leaving the room or before retiring for the evening. Four hours of burn time is the golden rule.
2. Always burn candles on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
3. Adhere to the 2-foot rule. Keep your candle at least 2 feet away from clothing, books, curtains, and other flammables.
4. Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and air currents. This maintains the flame’s elegant dance in the center, just as it should be.
5. Trim the wick to ¼” before each burn. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large, and also cuts down on any excess soot or black smoke.
6. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
7. Maintain proper spacing. When burning multiple candles, keep them at least 3 inches apart. Every candle deserves its space to shine.
8. Never use a burning candle as a nightlight. Extinguish any lit candles before going to sleep.
9. Limit burn time to four hours. Overindulgence can lead to safety issues, and we’re all about safety and style.

MELT POOL
Ensure your candle burns long enough for the melted wax to almost reach the sides of the vessel. This full melt pool could take 2-4 hours.
A quirk of our luxurious coconut-soy wax is that a full melt pool might not be achieved until halfway through the candle’s life—and that’s perfectly okay. This wax self corrects and ensures a longer, more delightful burn.
APPEARANCE
Fluctuations in temperature may cause the wax to contract and pull away from the sides of the glass. This is a common occurrence when candles are shipped or stored in environments with varying temperatures. Rest assured, once the candle is lit, the wax will elegantly correct itself, ensuring a flawless burn.

When 1/2 inch of wax remains or the silver wick tab is visible, your candle is done. To clean, pour hot water into the vessel and let it sit until cool. The wax will melt and float to the top. Repeat if necessary, then clean with a paper towel and dish soap. Let dry and repurpose your vessel!
